Experience Points gauge character power, enabling stat progression and trait purchasing. Experience Points earned have to be claimed upon the end of a roleplay session and cannot be transferred or stacked.

Characters earn 10 Experience Points per response in a RP containing two characters while earning half solo.

Characters gain an extra 5 experience points per person beyond the first two participants, up to a maximum of +35 exp. This system encourages collaborative storytelling and rewards characters for engaging with a larger group, providing ample opportunities for shared experiences and character development.

A character earns 100 Experience Points when they undergo a near-death experience, defined as an extraordinary event occurring on the verge of death. These encounters must involve another Player Character or a plot-related instance that possesses the capability and intent to potentially end the character's life. Such moments of peril provide an opportunity for growth and development, rewarding characters with substantial experience for their resilience in facing these life-threatening challenges. Naturally, encounters involving two PCs will be heavily scrutinized so as to save yourself the headache of scheming in the background please don't try to game this.

To foster character growth and incentivize active participation, the Staff may occasionally grant additional Experience Points as a commendation for exceptional roleplaying within any given RP. Furthermore, participation in plot-related RPs can also serve as a pathway to earning rewards in the form of Experience Points. These acknowledgments by the Staff encourage and recognize the dedication and skill of the roleplayers, promoting a vibrant and engaging RP community.


Although there are numerous methods to increase the number of experience points earned per post, there is a maximum limit imposed. In adherence to this cap, no player can accumulate more than 50 experience points per RP, ensuring a fair and balanced progression system for all participants. This restriction maintains a level playing field while still allowing characters to grow and develop through their RP experiences.

Multiplayer Missions reward a set amount of experience Points upon completion regardless of rank. As such the above rules do not apply when taking a mission.

Staff and/or Members assisting with roleplaying may be granted 30 EXP per post for their efforts. ```

Ranks determine a character's overall power is decided by the amount of experience that the character has gathered over the span of his/her time on the server. This amount is kept track of as an 'overall' number, separate from the 'spendable exp' used to raise Stat Tiers. With enough Experience Points, a character can progress to a new Rank

D-Rank:  At this rank, your position and influence in the academy will be relatively modest, as you are at the bottom of the pyramid. In most instances, characters are still considered "nobodies," with their impact on the world yet to be felt. However, this starting point offers a world of potential and opportunities for growth, as characters embark on their journey to carve out their path.

Requirement: None
Starting Mana: 200 Mana
Missions Available: D-C Rank
Spell Slots: 20 D-Ranks, 5 C-Ranks
Trait Slots Available: Two


C-Rank: At this stage, you have made gradual progress in understanding your powers.  However, despite your efforts, your spells still lack the finesse and power of more skilled practitioners. You may encounter challenges when attempting to create more advanced techniques, highlighting the need to focus on refining the basics.

Requirements: 3,000 Experience, Completed 10 D-rank and 5 C- Rank missions.
Missions Available: D-C Rank
Spell Slots: 30 D-Ranks, 10 C-Ranks
Trait Slots Available: Three

B-Rank: Having progressed from a weaker mage, you now hold the status of a mid-level practitioner. Confidence emanates from your being, yet there is still much knowledge to acquire. However, your skills are not to be underestimated, and your name is likely recognized to some extent within the region.

Requirements: 6,000 Experience, Completed 10 D-rank and 15 C- Rank missions. Participated in 2 Events.
Missions Available: C - B Rank
Spell Slots: 30 D-Ranks, 20 C-Ranks, 10 B- Ranks, 1 A- Rank
Trait Slots Available: Four


A-Rank: Congratulations on reaching the pinnacle that most people aspire to achieve. Only a select few ever attain this level of mastery. You are now acknowledged as a considerably powerful mage, perhaps even enjoying a significant level of fame. Your skills have advanced to an impressive degree, and you should hold great confidence in them. What was once decent magic in combat has now evolved into something truly remarkable.  

Requirements: 9500 Experience, Completed 10 D-rank, 15 C- Rank, and 10 B-Rank missions. Participated in 4 Events.
Missions Available:  B - A Rank
Spell Slots: 30 D-Ranks, 25 C-Ranks, 20 B- Ranks, 10 A-Rank, 1 S-Rank
Trait Slots Available: Five


S-Rank: This level of mastery remains a distant dream for most people. However, you have surpassed all expectations, ascending to the ranks of the country's elite mages. Your name resonates among commoners, and other mages regard you with awe and trepidation, considering you an equal or even greater. Your magic and skills have reached such extraordinary heights that tales of your exploits are destined to be told as legendary tales. You have become an embodiment of greatness, leaving an indelible mark on the annals of mage history.

Requirements: 9500 Experience, Completed 10 D-rank, 15 C- Rank, and 10 B-Rank missions. Participated in 4 Events.

Basic Melee weapon [B-Rank Durability, +20 to strength] | 3,000 credits

Flash Bomb | 600 credits ea. 5 feet blast radius.

Basic Smoke Bomb | 500 credits ea. 10 feet blast radius.

Basic Nail Bomb | 1,000 credits. (Creates 5 m. blast radius and a 10 m. shrapnel radius. Deals D rank damage and inflict bleed.)

Basic Explosive | 1,000 credits. Creates a 5 m. blast radius. Deals D rank damage.

Caltrops | 20 credits each.  Deals damage to unprotected feet. D rank damage.

Coagulation Pills | 1,000 crowns per sack of 5. Stops bleeding from D-Rank wounds. One usage per battle.

Basic Health Potion | 1,500 crowns. Heals C rank worth of damage and B rank worth over two posts.

Basic Status Potion | 1,500 crowns ea. Minor pain relief and removes D rank status effects.
